The category which has delighted fans with amazing braking duels, displayed the art of high speed slip streaming and often seen cars race three and four wide made its Mount debut at the 2006 Bathurst International Motor Festival at Easter.
Later that year the category was included on the Bathurst 1000 support card, while the category last competed on the mount in 2015.
Aussie Racing Cars will make a return to the iconic circuit for the January 31 to February 2 Bathurst 12 Hour, joining the Combined Sedans and Group S Historic Touring Cars on the racing undercard.
"We're pleased to welcome Aussie Racing Cars to the program. The category provides non-stop action and the 12 Hour is an ideal showcase for them to commence their 2020 season as they launch into their third decade," event manager Kurt Sakzewski said.
"Our support program will ensure non-stop on track action throughout Friday and Saturday as we build towards the Pirelli Shootout Saturday afternoon, and the race itself on Sunday.
"The 12 Hour has a long reputation of being fan friendly and we aim to continue to develop that approach this year."
Now celebrating their 20th anniversary, Aussie Racing Cars are one of the longest running and most successful categories in Australian Motorsport.
