In a first for the event, fans will be better able to track the positions of each car via the addition of Lumirank LED Panels, to be fitted to each car next year.
The displays, which are visible when watching at the circuit or watching from home, will show each drivers' three-letter acronym when they are in the car and also display current race and/or class position throughout the event.
Arguably the most exciting part of the event is the GT cars that come to Mount Panorama from across the globe.
Race fans and residents got to see some of them, and their drivers, up close away from the circuit last year and the event's media manager, Richard Craill, promises that experience will return.
"The inaugural Town to Track was even better than we predicted and had a great response," he said.
"Our teams and drivers loved the interaction with the community and the chance to showcase the cars on the Bathurst city streets.
"As an event, we were blown away by the number of people that came out to see the cars and drivers. Town to Track will absolutely return next year and will be bigger and better than 2019."
Details about the attraction will be released closer to the event, as will details about growing off-track entertainment.
"Our on-track program is better than ever and it will basically be 'wall to wall' racing from Friday morning through to the end of Saturday and the Top 10 Shootout," Mr Craill said.
"Off track we're expecting another huge array of manufacturers to have displays and the mixture of family friendly areas and food and drink areas will continue."
The 12 Hour race event will be held at Mount Panorama from January 31 to February 2.
Spectator tickets are available from the event website or at the gate on the day.
Opportunities still remain for people to camp at the Mount.
"Camping continues to be at the core of the event and we're already considerably ahead this year when compared to the same time out from the 2019 race," Mr Craill said.
Camping details are also available on the website.
For those who can't make it to the track, there will be a television broadcast. Details will be announced soon.
