Bathurst Truck Show has been renamed the Dane Ballinger Memorial Truck Show, a decision organiser Haylie Mammoliti said was easy to make given he helped bring the event back in 2015.
"We're just trying to make it as much about Dane and celebrating an amazing person as possible," she said.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
Entries this year have been "absolutely astronomical", and the increase has been linked to the loss of Dane, who was loved and respected in the industry.
Ms Mammoliti said there would be in excess of 150 entries for this year's event and possibly as high as 200.
The event is an opportunity for truck owners to showcase their heavy vehicles and exhibitors come from all over NSW and as far away as Queensland to be there.
"For the entrants, it is a huge ask for them to come along," Ms Mammoliti said.
"They put in a huge effort with the wash and polish and getting them off the road for however long to bring them to the show."
The truck show will be held on Saturday, November 16 in conjunction with the two-day Bathurst Outdoor Expo and Christmas Markets at Bathurst Showground.
