Hair Razing owner Natalie Daymond has put a series of products from her salon [shampoo, conditioner, general toiletries] into packages to send to Taree via Bathurst PCYC's fire support drive.
"These disasters could happen to anyone, so every little bit we can do to support those affected by the fires can go a long way," Ms Daymond said.
"I felt those affected by the fires may not receive much in the form of basic toiletries, so hopefully these 'care packages' provide some relief for people caught up in the disaster."
Ms Daymond's care packages range from toiletry bags packed full with salon products to simple bundles featuring basic essentials such as a razor, toothbrush, toothpaste and soap.
With more than 200 homes reported to be affected by the current bushfire situation in NSW, Ms Daymond hopes the packages bring some joy to people who have lost a lot.
"I can only imagine what people who have lost everything are going through right now," she said.
"The disaster area may be far away from here, but because we're such a large community, certain people are bound to know others who have been affected by the fires."
"I understand times are tough in our own region at the moment, but it's important to support the less fortunate in whichever way possible."
All donated items were sent to Taree PCYC.
