A major fundraising event was held at Paddy's Hotel on November 2, to great success.
Poppy's family needed to raise $20,000 to get her the specially trained dog and at the event it was announced that they had been able to reach and exceed that goal.
With the fundraising event and community donations combined, they had been able to make more than $30,000.
The extra money will be put towards other equipment, such as an eye gaze communication system, that can help Poppy as she continues to live with Rett Syndrome.
