Played at Spooner Oval in Forbes, the Platypi would go down 16-0 to the Goannas, with coach Mick Roels saying errors from his team proved the difference.
"It was a disappointing way to end," Roels said.
"The errors we had in our game, which we haven't had all season, killed us. We couldn't build any pressure against them,
"I think it was more our mistakes that gave them the win, then them beating us. It was our fault basically."
Platypi had played Goannas in the last match of the regular season at Carrington Park on Saturday, November 9.
Platypi had got the better of its opponents on the day, a 20-10 victory, however, it'll be the third-ranked Goannas that will progress to the grand final to play Woodbridge Cup, who finished the five-match regular season as minor premiers.
Regardless of the loss, Roels said his side has enjoyed a "fantastic" season.
"It's been fantastic from the girls throughout the season, especially how some picked up the game so quickly being the first time playing tackle," he said.
"The difference they've made throughout the year has been fantastic.
"A couple of girls started in the first season at the start of the year.
"The way they led the girls round in the harder games was really good."
