THE speed limit will be cut to just 40km/h along two sections of the Great Western Highway between Bathurst and Lithgow as roadwork gets under way on Monday morning.

Work includes drainage and road improvements along a two and a half kilometre section of the highway at Walang, and a one kilometre section at Sunny Corner, east of Bathurst.
Work will be carried out between 7am and 6pm from Monday to Friday and is expected to be complete in in one week, weather permitting.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
Traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
