The program is open for musicians aged 13 to 25 and provides opportunities for emerging artists to further their talent and build their live performance experience.
LEAP co-ordinator Kylie Shead said prospective artists are encouraged to apply for a two-day workshop in mid-January that will double as an audition for the program.
"The workshop will be co-ordinated by talented local duo Smith & Jones, and successful artists will have the opportunity to perform at next year's Inland Sea of Sound festival," Ms Shead said.
"It's a great opportunity for young musicians to perform regularly around town."
Prior to the Inland Sea of Sound festival, LEAP artists will perform at a variety of local venues including Webb and Co, Piccolo's and The Hub.
Ms Shead said next year's program will place further emphasis on attracting young bands to the program.
"We have a LEAP band night scheduled for February 15 next year, so we hope a lot of young bands are prepared to get on board," she said.
The LEAP program has produced a number of notable Bathurst musicians including Sophie Jones, Gabbi Bolt, Lueth Ajak and Luke Furbank.
The two-day workshop is scheduled for January 16 and 17 at BMEC, with weekend gigs scheduled for January 30 and 31 and February 7 and 8. For more information on LEAP, visit www.inlandseaofsound.com.au.
