The Bathurst district became the powerhouse of the Mitchell Cricket Council, gained a foothold as a Western Zone stronghold and sent numerous players into representative carnival sides.
So it should come as no surprise that picking a 1st XI of the decade is no easy task.
We weighed up our selections with a mixture of game impact for Bathurst club and representative cricket, giving preference for those who have shown longevity in their game through the 2010s.
Current Bathurst district captain Adam Ryan believes there was been a changing of the guard through the middle of the decade, splitting two distinct eras of cricket in the city and making it difficult for anyone to piece together the perfect 11.
"At the very start of the decade we had guys like Russ Gardner, Matt Willis, Nath Dennis and Kel Cooke. Looking at the stretch from 2005 to 2015 it's like a completely different decade," he said.
"If we look at 2015 through to 2025 there's the guys like Connor Slattery who are part of that new group.
"We've had some great Mitchell and Western representatives who have made the next step and contributed to a lot of Bathurst's success this decade.
"We've got a really great core at the moment and we've had some strong players come through and develop since 2015."
1 JOSH TOOLE (vc)
An easy choice for the openers spot, Toole is the only Bathurst player to have scored six centuries at club level in the same number of seasons.
As one of the best stroke players in Western Zone, Toole has always been a tough prospect for anyone to bowl to and has been a key member of representative country sides through the years.
A testament to that was his three season run between 2014-15 to 2016-17 where he finished with a combined BDCA average of 60.
2 HENRY SHOEMARK
Joining Toole at the opener's position is the man who sits right behind him in second spot on the BDCA all-time run scorers list post-2011.
The big-hitting Shoemark is the owner of four first grade centuries and 14 half centuries.
He currently leads the way for Bathurst players in Western Zone Premier League runs scored over the past decade.
3 MATTHEW WILLIS
With four BDCA first grade centuries and a 33.3 average there's not many people around who can match the batting statistics of Matt Willis over the past 10 years.
The long-time Bathurst City skipper led his team to four BDCA first grade titles in the space of just five seasons.
He also happens to be the owner of the best bowling figures in a BDCA grand final (5-16).
4 JAMEEL QURESHI (c)
The skipper of this side and a role model for all the city's players both on and off the field.
No other player can claim two 150-plus scores in BDCA first grade since online records began and no-one else has more than 1000 first grade runs for an average over 50.
Qureshi's unbeaten 166 in the 2014-15 President's Cup final - and 254-run third wicket partnership with Andrew Best - is his crowning achievement for Bathurst.
He also leads Bathurst in the President's Cup and Western Zone Premier League wicket takers tally.
5 ADAM RYAN
The current Bathurst and St Pat's Old Boys skipper has been a picture of consistency across the decade and is a proven performer under pressure, with an average of 50 across his seven BDCA finals series games.
He's among the top five BDCA first grade run scorers over the decade and has been a staple of Bathurst's representative teams.
Ryan will also go down as the man who put an end to the Saints' long search for a first grade crown in 2018-19 while also guiding the team to a Bonnor Cup title.
6 IMRAN QURESHI
The wicketkeeper's spot goes to Imran Qureshi who earns his spot in the team not just through glove work but with his 1280 career runs at an average of 35.6.
Qureshi's back half of the decade has been an impressive one, with two centuries and seven half centuries in just the past four seasons.
Qureshi and brother Jameel played a big part in Rugby Union Cricket Club's drought-ending 2017-18 first grade season success, fighting back after losing the previous season's grand final.
7 DANIEL CASEY
Another member of the rare four century club, Casey sits number one in the list of BDCA first grade run scorers across all finals matches since 2011.
The title-winning City Colts captain also owns the highest unbeaten innings (153 not out) this decade of BDCA first grade play.
Casey has been a key part of the Colts bowling attack, reaching the 100-wicket mark and finishing fifth for the decade in the wicket taker's race.
8 BEN ORME
The most accomplished all-round player in Bathurst first grade in the 2010s - and it's not up for debate.
Orme not only has more wickets than any other player since online records began (186) but he's also third on the BDCA run scorer's list (2,300).
He's the owner of seven five wicket hauls and finds himself part of the rare eight-wicket innings and 10-wicket match clubs.
Orme has been a reliable member of the Redbacks first grade unit and maintained great figures in the face of a heavy workload. Just since the 2010-11 season he's racked up nearly 1000 overs of bowling and has played 88 innings with the bat.
9 AARON SEYMOUR
Seymour's all-round averages are something to behold.
Not many players can boast a batting average of 32.4 while maintaining a bowling average of 14.3 for 117 wickets.
The Centennials Bulls man was untouchable through the middle portion of the decade, and achieved a rare feat of back-to-back five wicket hauls in Western Zone Premier League in the 2015-16 season.
Seymour's economy of 2.57 with the ball is virtually unmatched by any other leading first grade bowler in BDCA over the decade.
10 MATT STEPHEN
The workhorse of the City Colts bowling attack and a long time component of Bathurst's dominant district side.
Stephen's 133 wickets puts him third on the list of BDCA wicket takers and when making the step up to represent Bathurst he's often reached another level.
Over his most recent three seasons playing in the Western Zone Premier League he's finished with a bowling average of 13.
11 MATT FEARNLEY
The owner of 170 first grade scalps since online records began in 2011, Fearnley has been the backbone of the St Pat's Old Boys bowling attack year in and year out.
Fearnley picked up seven five-wickets hauls in the space of just five BDCA seasons, and proved he's still at the top of his game with a recent seven wicket demolition job on Kinross in the current Bathurst Orange Inter District Cricket season.
12th MAN: JOEY COUGHLAN
Coughlan has made big scores when it has mattered and is the only Bathurst player over the past decade to have scored both a Western Zone Premier League and President's Cup century.
He's added a pair of BDCA centuries to his name over the past five seasons before he tonned up again for Bathurst City in this year's re-formed Bathurst Orange Inter District Cricket competition.
Coughlan sits inside the top nine in both the BDCA's run scorers and wicket takers lists for the decade.
