IAN Rodenhuis was definitely in the Christmas spirit after a magical 45 points saw him take top honours in Saturday's A grade stableford event at the Bathurst Golf Club.

His nearest pursuers were Brian Morgan and Jim Schumacher, who both had 43 points, while a round of even par picked up the scratch for Mick Locke.
Nev Jones was seeing the ball well as attested by his 43 points to win B grade from the wily John Rogers (40) and the style king Ben Stevens (39), while 22 points was enough for Terry Dwyer to win the scratch.
Kae Anderson returned a superb 38 points to claim the ladies honours by two shots over Chris Burke.
Locke teamed up with John Curtis to post 49 points in the 2BBB which gave them a countback win over Morgan and Peter Brien. Thirty-eight points garnered the scratch honours for Darrell Bourke and David Luck.
Alex Sparks returned to the A grade winners' circle thanks to a solid 40 points, hot on his heels only a shot behind were Kel Cooke and Ray Brown. Darrell Bourke was the scratch recipient courtesy of 33 points.
The steady Tony Keech was back to his best after a nice 41 points kept him on top of the B grade pile, Ray Curtis and Des Roots filled the minors after both had 38 points.
The consistent Ross Cowdroy fired 21 points to win the scratch.
Cooke and Andrew Mendes were the 2BBB winners thanks to 48 points which was one shot clear of Roots and Adam Porter. The scratch prize went to the two amigos Darrell Bourke and David Lilly with 39 points.
