While it may have been an uncommon sound, rain was greatly welcomed across Central West region, with Bathurst officially receiving 5.8 millimetres of rain by Tuesday afternoon according to readings at the Bathurst Airport.

There's still a chance of more rain this week, with a 60 per cent chance of up to five millimetres of rainfall on Wednesday and another 60 per cent chance of up to five millimetres of rainfall on Thursday.
