Bathurst Library will host Sydney-based artist Matt Lin as he gives hints and tricks for drawing everyone's favourite Pikachus, Flareons or Gyarados. Participants might even create their own Pokemon. The school holiday program at Bathurst PCYC just gets better and better. Check out some of the great activities. Places are available every day at the moment, so contact the centre to book. Full days are still only $35 and half days $25.

Bathurst Summerfest will wrap up with a free family barbecue and concert at Bathurst Showground. There will be games and activities from 5pm and the free barbecue from 6pm.

Bathurst's Australia Day events will start early, with the public invited to recognise its Australia Day award recipients at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre on Friday, January 24 from 5.30pm. On Australia Day, enjoy a barbecue breakfast at Eglinton War Memorial Hall, welcome new citizens at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre or enjoy free entry to the Manning Aquatic Centre. Polio Australia is inviting survivors of polio, along with their families and carers, to a free community information session on February 3 at 3pm at Bathurst Library. The session will discuss the late effects of polio, how to work well with health professionals, and self-management strategies.
