Mama Lana's Community Foundation has over 80 volunteers dedicated to helping homeless and the underprivileged.
The foundation offers hot meals six nights a week, supplies food and toiletry packs, as well as providing clothing, sleeping bags, and blankets.
The foundation also works with other charities and support services.
Bathurst mayor Bobby Bourke said it will be an honour to have both Lana and Roger Borg attend the city's Australia Day activities on Sunday, January 26.
"Their dedication to helping those less fortunate is what being Australian is all about and we look forward to hearing their story which epitomises the Australian culture of giving and lending a hand to those who need it most," he said.
Bathurst Regional Council's Australia Day celebrations will commence with the awards ceremony on Friday, January 24, at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre (BMEC) from 5.30pm.

A barbecue breakfast will be held at Eglinton War Memorial Hall on Sunday, January 26, at 8am.
This will be followed by a citizenship ceremony at 10am at BMEC and free entry to the Manning Aquatic Centre from 11am.
