Brisbane-based musician Megan Cooper co-coined the idea for the Cake and Cordial Sessions in Tamworth a few years ago, with the goal to provide a fresh and unique outlet for original musicians.
"The whole point of Cake and Cordial is to fill you up with sugar while listening to artists you've never heard before," Cooper said.
"Expect a smorgasbord of delicious musical treats."
Cooper will perform at the event alongside Central West-based musicians Kris Schubert, Genni Kane and Smith & Jones.
Abby Smith and Sophie Jones [Smith & Jones] first performed at a Tamworth Cake and Cordial session in 2018, and said audiences can expect a family-friendly atmosphere.
"It's an event where you can bring the whole family and appreciate some local artists," Jones said.
"That first Cake and Cordial session we played was our favourite gig of our trip to Tamworth that year, and the event has introduced us to so many incredible artists."
Cooper said she is looking forward to bringing the event to Bathurst for the first time.
"The event is all about the full range of emotions brought on by sugar and music," she said.
"Cake and cordial is included with the ticket, and this is the first time the event will run in NSW outside Tamworth."
The event will get under way at 7pm. Tickets cost $25 and are available via StickyTickets.
