Thompson dismissed the entire top six in his eight overs across two spells - conceding just 25 runs, no less - before returning to rattle the stumps of number 11 Jack McCartan for wicket number 7. with only Jaxson Allen's 58 mounting any form of resistance for the Riverina side.
The quick's Kinross teammate Gus Cornish also jumped in on the action with two wickets as the side dismissed Wagga for 102, with only one catch taken for the innings - by Thompson off his own bowling.
Blake Kreuzberger backed up his second-day century with 42 off 37 to top-score in the chase, which came at the cost of only four wickets and took less than 25 overs.
Thompson wasn't the only bowler to clean up on Wednesday, with Sam Scott taking 5-6 from 8.2 overs, including five maidens as Mosman dismissed St John's India for 75 in the 40th over, needing less than 20 to chase the target down.
Mosman only lost one wicket as Alex Segaert (39) and Will Nutt (22) accounted the bulk of the runs.
Dubbo managed to defend a small total of 150 as their bowlers fired, dismissing Blacktown for 130 in the 34th over as Ted Murray took three wickets and Lachie Rummans and Angus Rose two apiece.
