A BUS driver has been charged following an investigation into the alleged sexual touching of a young passenger in the state's Central West.

In April 2019, detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad commenced an investigation following reports an 11-year-old girl had been sexually touched by a man who was known to her.
Following extensive inquiries, detectives arrested a 67-year-old man at Orange Police Station just after 10am on Tuesday, where he was charged with intentionally sexually touch child (between 10 and 16 years).
Police will allege in court that the man sexually touched the girl - who was a passenger on a bus - in April 2019.
He has been granted strict conditional bail to appear at Orange Local Court in March.
Investigations are continuing.
The Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad is comprised of detectives who are specially trained to investigate matters against children and adults, including sexual assault, serious physical abuse, and extreme cases of neglect.
