Those were the words of Bathurst Wallabies Triathlon Club committee member James Kelly, ahead of the latest Central West Interclub Triathlon Series round.
Winning the annual Australia Day event two years ago, the Wallabies are looking to reclaim their title from Orange, who took out last year's edition.
This year, Mudgee and Orange have a share in the lead with 30 points after round one with Bathurst sitting on 23 points.
The Wallabies will be looking to gain crucial points this Sunday, when the local club hosts round two of the 2019-20 series.
"It's a great day for everyone, you don't have to be competing to enjoy it," Kelly said.
"With the interclub course, there's always someone going past and something for people to watch."
The day will begin at 8am, with the juniors competing first.
This will be followed by the seniors who will have the option to compete in either the short course or the interclub race.
The short course will start with a 2.5 kilometre run, followed by a 200 metres swim and a 16 kilometre cycle.
With long course format will be a 2.5 kilometre run, a 200m swim, a 16 kilometre cycle, a 200 metre swim and finished with 2.5 kilometre run.
Kelly says that the club is expecting a good turn out and encourages anyone who may be interested to come down and have a go.
"I think we will have big numbers," he said.
"I think last year we had about 150 people, so this year we're hoping for those numbers again or maybe more."
Although the event attracts some classy triathletes, people of all fitness levels can compete.
"People think that because it's an interclub competition that they shouldn't compete, but it's the opposite, it's a really good round to come down and have a go in," Kelly said.
With the club sizes varying between Mudgee, Orange, Bathurst, Dubbo and Cowra, this year the event has adopted a new points system, managed by Triathlon New South Wales.
"The point system gets tinkered with quite a bit, to try and make it equal for the bigger clubs and the smaller clubs," Kelly said.
Dubbo will host the third round of the Central West Interclub Triathlon Series on February 9, followed by Orange for the fourth round on February 16 and Cowra for the fifth and final round on March 22.
The interclub and short course events will begin simultaneously at 9.30am on Sunday morning.
