That's what the feeling is heading into the second half of the 2019-20 season as the reinvigorated Bathurst Orange Inter District Cricket is bracing for an interesting post-Christmas showdown to try and cement the top four for the finals.
After pushing for the competition to be brought back for the previous two years, I am loving what the first half has promised.
Whilst not having played any BOIDC games, I took on the role of operations manager and the driving force behind getting the competition back was to reinvigorate interest in playing cricket in the area.
We were laughed off by a couple of people when it was suggested that this might entice a few to make a comeback, but a few actually have come back, so cheers to that.
BOIDC joint chairman president Campbell Graham and I myself wanted this for all of last season. I've been dead keen on it since I became secretary of BDCA for the 2018-19 season.
I must admit I am quite intrigued at how sides will approach the rest of the season. Obviously, the top three are pretty close to even, the rest however, is open to anyone really.
Orange City have been the standout and I'm tipping them to make the grand final.
Cavaliers and St Pat's Old Boys will be fighting for that other top two spot and I don't think many expected Centennials Bulls to do as well as they have.
City Colts' lack of success has been a surprise, but don't worry - it will happen. They will come out and put a 350 plus score on someone with the firepower they've got.
We have a mid-season review meeting coming up next Tuesday, which is open to anyone to come along and throw some ideas around.
Obviously you can't please everyone. I think no matter what decision administrators make, there's always going to be people complaining.
All is fair in love and war.
