"Jack is a confident young man who spoke forcefully and eloquently about his role in the Bathurst Youth Council," a Bathurst Probus Combined Club spokesperson said.
"After delivering his informative speech, Jack took questions from the 60-plus members and guests who were present at the normal monthly meeting of Probus Combined, which is held at 10am every third Tuesday at Bathurst Panthers.
"He was peppered with questions from people wanting to know more about what a leader of tomorrow believed."
The club spokesperson said Jack "was naturally optimistic and, despite ravaging drought, fires and an uncertain economic future, he believed that Bathurst would grow to become one of the major inland cities in Australia".
"With positive comments like that, no wonder he was virtually mobbed by members wanting to have their photos taken with this impressive, mature young adult," the spokesperson said.
