As of Monday afternoon, 67.8 millimetres of rain had been recorded throughout the month, which is around 10mm less than the long-term average.
The total was given a boost over the weekend after 15mm was recorded between Friday and 9am Monday morning.
While Bathurst is much closer to its long-term average, the region has received significantly less rainfall than it did over the same period in January, 2019.
To January 27 last year, Bathurst had recorded a whopping 106.1mm with nine rainy days.
Weatherzone's forecast suggests Bathurst will miss its average this month, with a near-zero per cent chance of rain through to January 31.
In some good news, February could have a wet start, with a 90 per cent chance of rain predicted for Sunday, which could produce between five to 10mm.
