After reaching 40 degrees on Saturday, Bathurst was still 32 degrees at 9pm on Saturday and 28 degrees at midnight.
The city reached its low of 25 degrees just before 7am on Sunday and then the temperature was on the climb again.

It followed a low of 24 degrees on Saturday morning - well above the long-term average minimum temperature for February of 13 degrees.
Before those two days, Bathurst's hottest overnight lows this summer had been a pair of 22-degree minimums in early January.
It could have been worse, however.
Mudgee's minimum on Sunday morning was 28 degrees - another three degrees hotter than Bathurst's - and Dubbo didn't get below 31 degrees before its temperature started to climb again.
Bathurst's near neighbour Orange, meanwhile, got down to 23 degrees on Sunday morning.
