Since its release in November last year, the album has not only showcased the talent of original musicians in the Central West, but also delivered some welcome cheer to people doing it tough.
"We gifted close to 1200 copies of the album to people in drought-affected communities over the Christmas period," Lifeline Central West chief executive officer Stephanie Robinson said.
"It wasn't about gifting these people with an album that would solve all their problems, it was to let them know that we're thinking of them."
Each copy of the album came with a personalised message from a Bathurst resident offering words of support and perseverance.
Dreaming of a Green Christmas producer Kris Schubert said the scope of the album's success has been a welcome surprise.
"For something that started off as such a simple idea, it's incredible that the album has reached so many people across the state," Mr Schubert said.
"The album is a strange yet wonderful snapshot of the Central West's music scene and on behalf of all the musicians involved, we're grateful that it has brought joy to so many people."
