Griffith will lead the Breakers into battle against Tasmania on Tuesday then and Western Australia on Thursday at North Sydney Oval.
Should the Breakers win both those games, it would ensure they host this season's Women's National Cricket League final.
Given the Breakers currently top the WNCL ladder and are chasing a record 21st title, there is plenty of pressure on them to produce.
For Griffith, Tuesday's match against the currently fifth placed Tasmania will mark her third game as the Breakers captain.
She became the 29th woman to skipper the Breakers when taking the helm in NSW's first two games this season when regular captain Alyssa Healy was absent.
She has a one-and-one record.
With not only Healy, but Rachael Haynes and Ashleigh Gardner all absent on national duties this week, Griffith will shoulder plenty of responsibility.
The 27-year-old is likely to bat in the top order - possibly as opener - as well as forming part of the bowling attack in the 50-overs-a-side fixtures.
In her most recent match against ACT - a game the Breakers won by seven wickets - Griffith was not required to bat and claimed 2-44 off her eight overs.
"We have continued to improve with a successful trip to Canberra last week and what pleases us most is the team have agreed we are still to complete the perfect game," NSW coach Dominic Thornely said.
"It's always encouraging that we are winning matches whilst still not satisfied with our performances.
"The belief of our squad is most pleasing with young players coming in and performing whilst our regular players are making solid contributions with bat and ball.
"The team are learning along the way whilst seeking improvement, that is what pleases us the most at present."
In-form Orange teenager Phoebe Litchfield has also been named in the squad.
