Bathurst currently lead the four team competition, however, they will have to travel north to play Gulgong on Sunday, with a defeat away from home potentially throwing its final chances out the window.
On the same day and at the same time, Mudgee will be playing Blue Mountains and if second-placed Mudgee get the job done and Gulgong claim an upset win, Bathurst will potentially miss the final.
But with potential rain forecast on the day, there's a chance the game might not go ahead.
However, if it does, Bathurst captain Andrew Brown knows securing the win is crucial, as his side's fate is still up in the air.
"It's pretty important [to get the win]. You always want to win when you play," he said.
His side will be hunting that win against a side he's unfamiliar with.
"I don't know much about them," he said.
"I think there were a few that played for that Midwest team, but besides that, I don't really know any of them."
The Bathurst side will look for runs from the likes of Brown and vice captain Joey Coughlan, as well as Bathurst City batsman Mark Day.

Day represented Bathurst in the Western Zone Premier League last Sunday, but is still allowed to represent Bathurst in the Rod Hartas Shield according to Brown.
"Mark hasn't played enough games in the Western Zone Premier League because he's playing as a fill-in, so he can still play for us unless he plays more games for them," Brown explained.
With players unavailable for the match, Bathurst will have to call upon the likes of Kurt Toole, Brydon Slattery and Jeremy Russell.
"It's a bit different to the last time we played, with a few players out but we've still got the players to get the job done," Brown said.
Bathurst's opening game of its Rod Hartas Shield campaign against Mudgee back in November was officially recorded as a draw as rain brought an end to play, when Bathurst looked likely to claim the win.
In the second round in December, Bathurst travelled away to play Blue Mountains at the Peter Carroll Field in Leura and cruised to a seven-wicket victory.
A win for Bathurst on Sunday against Gulgong would all but wrap up the minor premiership for the local team and hosting rights for the final on February 23.
Sunday's game between Bathurst and Gulgong will get underway from 10am at Victoria Park.
