Orange musicians Liv Mirrington, Jock Pryse Jones, Seb Key and Cass Key will perform Angus & Julia Stone's groundbreaking 2010 album Down the Way in full, in what will be the group's first show in Bathurst.
Mirrington said the group chose Down the Way to expand the idea of 'classic albums' into more modern territory.
"Down the Way is from a very different time period to the classic albums that have been performed before, and we thought it would provide a great atmosphere for a small, intimate venue," she said.
"I've been a fan of Down the Way ever since it came out, and it's a beautiful, easy-listening collection of music."
Down the Way won five ARIA Awards in 2010, including Album of the Year, Producer of the Year and Best Cover Art while lead single 'Big Jet Plane' topped the Triple J Hottest 100 for that year.
The group debuted the show at Orange's The Agrestic Grocer last week, and Mirrington said they had a lot of fun bringing the album to life.
"We were all pretty nervous at first, but everyone was so supportive and we received some positive feedback," she said.
"The choice of album certainly attracted a few younger faces to the show, so it was nice to have a different kind of audience."
Down the Way is the first 2010s album to feature as a Classic Album show in either Bathurst or Orange.
Mirrington said the Bathurst crowd can expect a relaxing evening of quality music.
"It's the sort of music that goes well with a nice wine, and it'll provide the audience with an easy cruise into the weekend," she said.
"We're eager to see how the Bathurst audience responds."
Mirrington finished school last year, and is currently in the process of working on a debut EP.
The event will get under way from 6pm. Tickets cost $25 and are available via Eventbrite.
