The library will mark Library Lovers' Day - which is held on Valentine's Day each year - by offering a photo booth, entertainment for all ages and chocolates for those with a sweet tooth.
For the blind date with a book activity, patrons will be encouraged to select a wrapped book that offers just a hint about what the plot might contain.

"People tend to stick to the same authors, so this is a way for them to try something new," outreach assistant Tracey Platt said.
She said Library Lovers' Day, initiated by the Australian Library and Information Association, celebrates libraries' place in their communities.

"People come here not just for books, but for programs, to get DVDs, to use the computers, to socialise," she said.
Library Lovers' Day will be celebrated from 10am to 6pm on Friday at Bathurst Library.
"We're inviting everyone down to share in the love and have a bit of fun," Ms Platt said.
