NOW that students are back at school you will start to hear them on 2MCE's Monday morning breakfast program.
This coming week students from Assumption Catholic School, Bathurst will be co-hosting between 8am and 8.30am.
They'll be reading the weather, playing some of their favourite songs and discuss what's going on at school and their interests outside school.
We have a whole year of schools from Bathurst, Blayney, Oberon and beyond to assist with hosting duties, so be sure to hear these radio stars of the future.
THE Wednesday Evening Music program is another opportunity for you to get involved in community radio while sharing your favourite band or music genre with 2MCE listeners.
Last week, Karl Shead shared his passion and enthusiasm for heavy metal music, and I know there's at least one convert to the genre!
His knowledge of the artists and the culture of the genre was very informative.
Do you have a particular genre you're passionate about?
A favourite band you think deserves more of the limelight?
If you would like to be a guest on Evening Music, please get in touch with me at the station to discuss!
Stay tuned for interesting guests and music on Evening Music each Wednesday at 6pm.
A REMINDER that next Wednesday, February 19 is the Volunteering Expo at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre (BMEC).
You can come along to chat to the team from 2MCE about how you can get involved in radio!
From reading in our Talking Newspaper program, or finding out how to get a program on air, or arranging special guests for interviews, local news or other community programs, there may be something here for you.
Come down to the BMEC on Wednesday and find out more about 2MCE.
