The festival, which will take place this Friday and Saturday, will be headlined by prominent Australian artists Missy Higgins and Killing Heidi, and further fleshed out by the likes of Mama Kin Spender, Thando and Timberwolf.
In a change from previous festivals, the 2020 iteration has moved to a late-summer setting.
Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre [BMEC] manager Stephen Champion said the seasonal shift [the event used to be held in late spring], could help expand the appeal of the festival.
INLAND SEA OF SOUND 2020 ARTISTS:

- Inland Sea of Sound 2020: Mama Kin Spender to perform with local choir

- Imogen Clark to bring a mix of old and new music to Inland Sea of Sound 2020

"I think 2020 could be the year Inland Sea of Sound really cements its place in Bathurst's annual calendar," Mr Champion said.
Mr Champion said the lineup has a number of hidden gems outside of the main acts.
"Timberwolf has a soaring voice that fans of Jeff Buckley are bound to enjoy and Thando, originally from Zimbabwe, presents a unique interpretation of the soul genre," he said.
"We also have Sub-Tribe, an inventive reggae band from New Zealand and Azadoota, who are the only band in Australia to sing in Assyrian."
"There's also a strong local contingent set to take the stage, not only Gabbi Bolt and Amy Viola, but a number of talented Local Emerging Artists Program [LEAP] acts."
Mr Champion said the festival will have a range of entertainment options outside the music.
"There will be food stalls covering a variety of cultures, as well as three craft brewers and a range of local wines," he said.
"We also have free entry for children under 12, and there'll be plenty for them to do with a storytelling tent, Kids Space, kite flying lessons and a special performance by children's group Lah Lah's Big Live Band."
Mr Champion said a new addition to this year's festival is the addition of large shade cloths to all three stages for added comfort.
"The shade will cover the area between the stages and the sound desk, and we really want to provide a more comfortable environment for festival goers," he said.
"In addition, a free shuttle service will operate across both days for people who wish to leave the cars at home."
