The teacher was in Sydney for a rugby union match on the weekend when they inadvertently had close contact with someone who has since tested positive to COVID-19.
Head of college Lindsay Luck said one of the teachers is staying away from work until their coronavirus test result is returned.
"They've got no symptoms and are staying at home teaching classes remotely," he said.
Mr Luck said all parents of students at the college had been informed about the situation.
"Parents have been very supportive and we've been very open and transparent with information," he said.
No students have been asked to go into self-isolation following contact with this teacher.
Meanwhile, there has only been one person in Bathurst who has tested positive to coronavirus.
