Although Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre is closed to the public at the moment, staff are working to create some online events. Stay tuned for an announcement soon about the Bathurst Writers' and Readers' Festival from May 1-3.
BooksPlus will hold its first virtual book launch. In lieu of an in-store event, Nicole Alexander will be launching her latest novel The Cedar Tree during an event streamed live on Facebook at noon. BooksPlus has copies of The Cedar Tree and Alexander's back list on the shelves.

Council
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Bathurst Regional Council has closed BMEC Bathurst, Bathurst Library, Bathurst Regional Art Gallery, Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum, Chifley Home, Bathurst Rail Museum, National Motor Racing Museum and Bathurst Visitor Information Centre.
Events that are cancelled or postponed:
- Sustainable Living Expo and An Evening with Ed - cancelled; refunds will be provided.
- Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour - rescheduled to November.
- Heritage Trades Trail - cancelled; refunds will be provided.
- Chase the Rainbow - cancelled
