On Sunday St Pat's Junior Rugby League Football Club coach Harry Saban began his fitness challenge call out for the Saints as a way to keep players involved and interested.
He performed a series of exercises - push-ups, sit-ups, burpees, squats and leg lifts - in his Pat's gear, posted a video of himself doing so, then challenged another Saint to do likewise.
As the week as unfolded more and more Saints of all ages have taken up the challenge. Matt Stair even issued a challenge to the entire under 10s team.
"It was just something to just keep the kids entertained and there's nothing like calling your mate out or your coach," Saban said.
"The Bathurst St Pat's clubs is a pretty good family club, people always get on board and get involved with everything we try to do.
"It's just a good club to be around and I wanted to keep everyone in touch in desperate times, so I thought this would be a good way to do it."
The drills involved in the challenge are based on a warm-up he has previously used when training junior teams.
They would run through those exercises three times before commencing their ball-work, Saban saying "once you've done that first set, it does take it out of you, so it is good for fitness".
He has been happy so see so many people in blue and white film their efforts, saying "it's good to see they keep it and treasure their Pat's gear," but Saban would love for even more people to get involved.
"I think there's around 230 junior Pat's kids in the club and that ranges from under 6s right through to our under 16s teams," he said.
"I feel sorry for them and their parents, the kids can't do any training and are stuck at home all day, so the parents are trying to think of things to do.
"We opened it up to just the Pat's guys, coaches and volunteers and sponsors, but I'd like to see how far we can go with this.
"Other clubs, council members, anybody and everybody, let's see what people can do.
"It would be good if it went a bit further and the NRL got involved and couple of big names - it would be good for the kids."
Group 10 Junior Rugby League has already encouraged its other member clubs to get involved while The Final Whistle league podcast is also spreading the word about Harry's Challenge.
And asked if he had a second round of challenges in mind as the Saints - and rugby league community as a whole - wait and hope they will get some game time in 2020, Saban offered: "Watch this space I guess."
