There's no hiding that business has been tough, but manager Pranee Savetsila said loyal customers have been showing their support.
"It's been very bad because we are a shop where you come in and eat," she said.
"We had takeaway before, but it wasn't that much.
"The first week of the changes was bad, we saw a drop in trade by 80 per cent. The second week was just as bad."
While opening hours are 10.30-2.30 for lunch and 5.30-9 for dinner, Ms Savetsila said she's noticed people tend to come at certain times.
"We're only getting customers around 12-1 and 6-8," she said.
"We've still got our loyal customers. They've been trying to help us out as much as they can."
Vanilla Bean was established back in 2006, offering both a mix of authentic Thai and Western cuisine.
It's started offering delivery too, for a minimum order of $40, with delivery costing $5 in the Bathurst CBD or $7 in surrounding areas such as West Bathurst, South Bathurst, Eglinton, Kelso and Raglan.
Unfortunately, because of the coronavirus regulations that slowed the flow of business, staff has been reduced from six to three.
