AMMUNITION and a small amount of drugs were among the items allegedly found at a Keslo home following a search by police on Thursday afternoon.

General duties police, detectives and the dog squad were part of the police search at the residence on Gilmour Street, which got under way just before 4pm.
Six police cars, including unmarked vehicles, remained at the scene during the search, with police clearly visible from outside the property while others were inside executing the search warrant.
Chifley Police District duty officer Inspector Glenn Cogdell said police executed the search warrant and would allege ammunition, firearms paraphernalia and a small amount of cannabis leaf and methamphetamine were found inside the home.

A number of throwing knives were also allegedly discovered at the property.
Inspector Cogdell said investigations into the matter were continuing and officers were yet to speak to a 34-year-old male resident of the house.
"The male did not attend the scene and will be spoken to in relation to the matter at a later date," he said.
"Police are conducting further investigations into the matter and will interview the the occupier of the house as part of these inquiries."
