The Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre, who hosts the event alongside BooksPlus, made the decision to move Bathurst-based events online last month, however, all streams from Sydney Writers' Festival have been cancelled, as the event was scrapped.
BMEC creative producer Kylie Shead said everyone involved had been working hard to make sure as many events as possible happen.
"All the readers and writers involved have just been so thrilled that we're trying to do it," she said.
"Everyone has been very generous with everything and how we've changed things.
"We basically had the program set and ready to go, but now we've had to change things around but everyone has been lovely about it."
Videos will either be streamed live via BMEC's Facebook page or uploaded pre-recorded versions.
Bathurst councillor Monica Morse will open the event on Friday night at 5.50pm, before the first segment - Books You Might Have Missed - at 6pm with Jen Barry and Cade Turner-Mann, as they chat through some of their favourite books of the past 12 months.
The popular Great Festival Read segment will return again, running from 11am-12.30pm on Sunday.
This year the panel will be discussing The Yield by Tara June Winch, a book that combines history, culture and Wiradyuri language and has been nominated for multiple awards.
Pieces will be read by the Bathurst Poets and a local playwriting group Live Words will present their recent projects in just some of the other programs on offer at the festival.
Audiences will also able to ask questions and provide feedback in certain programs via a Facebook chat.
