Residents at a Gormans Hill property had a lucky escape from a small house fire on Sunday afternoon.

At around 2.30pm, emergency services were called to 12 McPhillamy Avenue after reports of smoke from the front window of the premises.
Fire crews extinguished the flames within hours and no one was injured.
One police officer was taken to Bathurst Base Hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation and a witness reported that the officer had gone in after a person who resided at the house.
McPhillamy Avenue is bounded by Fish Parade at both ends.
The cause of the house fire is currently unknown.
Investigations into the cause of the fire are currently ongoing.
