Shop local: To support Bathurst businesses and to encourage spending within the region, Bathurst Regional Council is running a competition where residents can win a $200 Buy Local Gift Card every week for 10 weeks. When they make a purchase at a participating store, customers will receive a unique identifying number, which they need to enter online at www.bathurstbusinesshub.com.au to go into the competition. Bathurst Library: Bathurst Library members can now call the library on 6333 6281 (Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm) and arrange to pick up a bundle of books, audiobooks, DVDs or magazines that staff will select based on the member's preferences. Bundles will be available for pick-up at a no-contact collection point in the library foyer from noon-4pm the following business day (Monday to Friday only). Members will need to bring identification. If an item reserved via the library catalogue is available, it will be added to the bundle.
Names sought: Nominations open soon for the NSW/ACT Regional Achievement and Community Awards. The awards will launch on Wednesday, May 27 and the statewide search for nominees will begin. Categories will include Agricultural Innovation Award, Employer Excellence in Aged Care Award, Individual Excellence in Crown Land Management Award, Crown Land Manager Excellence Award, Customer Service Award and Leadership Award.
