The Bathurst Beaters have combined their collective love of food, local architecture and storytelling into Bathurst on a Plate.
All proceeds raised from the sale of each Bathurst on a Plate copy will be donated to Cancer Council NSW to assist in funding lifesaving research into women's cancers.
"Bathurst on a Plate is a book we hope everyone enjoys reading and cooking from, as much as we did in bringing it to life and realising a dream," Bathurst Beaters member Janelle Gervasoni said.
"The essence of this book is all about hope and how people can find courage and friendship even in the darkest of places, crying and laughing together as they navigate their own personal cancer journey."
Bathurst on a Plate was the brainchild of the late Noorjehan Merchant, the former Bathurst Beaters president who sadly lost her battle with breast cancer late last year.
Ms Merchant has a whole chapter dedicated to her in the cookbook, entitled 'Spice up Your Life.'
Cancer Council Western NSW community relations co-ordinator Bree Kelly said the charity is incredibly grateful for the Bathurst Beaters' support.
"Cancer Council is the only charity in Australia that funds research into these cancers, as well as providing support for the women affected," Ms Kelly said.
"Every day in Australia, 70 women are diagnosed with breast or gynaecological cancer and the money raised from 'pink' fundraisers, like Bathurst on a Plate, will help us fund world-class research"
A host of local businesses provided sponsorship to assist in the cookbook's publishing costs, which were further assisted from gold coin donations collected from the special bus services that ran during Sir Elton John's Bathurst concert in January.
Bathurst on a Plate is on sale for $35 at a number of local businesses, including Sheer Indulgence, Vine & Tap, Pear Tree, Vanessa Pringle Floral Designs, Choices Flooring, Blooms the Chemist, Capital Chemist Compounding Bathurst, Red Chair Boutique, Moodies pharmacy, Diversity Fashion, Beauty 4 U, Keppel Street Newsagency and the Bee Keepers Inn.
The book is also available online and to secure a copy, email bathurstbeaters@gmail.com.
