THEY have won 37 consecutive games of Group 10 league tag and three consecutive premierships, so it comes as no surprise that St Pat's want to continue that streak in 2020.

The Saints have strung together one of the most impressive runs ever seen in Group 10 over the past three years, while they have also won a Western Premiers Challenge and a treble of pre-season Western Challenge crowns during that time as well.
But at the moment due to the coronavirus the Saints' league tag outfit, who are coached by Mick Armstrong, are crossing their fingers the July 18 return to play target is hit.
"I reckon they'd be pretty keen to get back and play, a couple of them have borrowed a footy and gone for a kick because they are keen and also looking for something to do outside," Armstrong said.
"It would be difficult if we were to have the whole year off, if we get a bit of a season in the girls will hopefully enjoy that then be keen to come back again next year."
Last year when St Pat's beat fierce rivals Orange Hawks 10-4 on grand final day, it marked their second undefeated Group 10 season in as many years.
Armstrong said he never could have predicted the success the side, which also beat Hawks in the 2018 (16-6) and 2017 (16-12) grand finals, would have.
He said continuity and friendships within the squad has been key.
"We are just lucky I suppose we have a good group of girls who we have stuck with," he said.
"We haven't had too many move away and when people do move away, we seem to have people come into the team who are just as good if not better. So we've been lucky in that regard.
"I wouldn't have thought we'd have the success we've had, but it's been getting the right people involved and keeping them involved. When that happens it makes it a lot easier.
"Of the field they're all a massive part of the social side of footy we have at St Pat's too."
If a 2020 season does go ahead, it will mean a shortened draw. At this stage the most likely scenario is teams meeting each other once ahead of a full finals series.
Asked whether a premiership this year would mean just as much as those already earned, Armstrong had no hesitation in agreeing.
"For sure, I think the girls are going to be even keener to start just because it has been so long since they've played," he said.
"Hopefully they haven't lost too many of their skills from not training, but I'd say the girls would be just as keen to win the comp this year, that's for sure."
