While accommodation can remain open during the coronavirus pandemic, many of Bathurst's hotels and motels have taken a financial hit.

Accommodation, like any other business that remains open, has to follow strict social distancing rules.
And while most accommodation in Bathurst remains open, there's a lack of bookings from people travelling to the city.
It has left many accommodation locations like the Bathurst Heritage Motor Inn in a frustrating position.
"It's been bad. It's really dropped off," manager Lisa Battersby said.
"From March 14 to April 19, 795 nights worth of accommodation was cancelled and it hasn't stopped.
"We're 20 per cent on Friday and we'd normally be around 80 per cent.
While December and January is normally a quieter period for the inn, winter is fairly busy because of sport.
Ms Battersby said events like the Autumn Colours, Easter and sport - especially the Gold Crown - are crucial for accommodation during this time of year.
What's worse, if the Bathurst 1000 does run in October but doesn't allow fans, it'll be a massive blow to many of the accommodation businesses in town.
"We'll take a massive hit if there's no fans at the Bathurst 1000," Ms Battersby said.
"Hopefully things can go back to normal around October and November, if we're lucky."
Things are looking a bit better at Panorama Bathurst, with a spokeswoman saying trade has picked up in the past week.
"We've found it has picked up as they've started easing some of the restrictions," she said.
"Monday to Thursday this week has been the busy week yet."
Like the Bathurst Heritage Motor Inn, the Panorama would be hit hard if fans couldn't attend the Bathurst 1000.
"It would be a massive hit to us if there were no spectators. We pretty much have spectators stay here the whole race," she said.
"They're booked 12 months in advance. Fingers crossed the event happens."
Unfortunately, the Bathurst NRMA Holiday Park has been closed since March according to a post on its Facebook page.
"We're deeply disappointed and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you, however the safety of our staff, guests and the whole community is our top priority," a post on March 26 said.
"Over this period, we are only accommodating those who have no other place of permanent residence or deemed as essential travellers."
