Last year that trio, as well as Panuara native Grace Hamilton, all played a role in seeing Sydney University place third outright in the national series.
This year's edition of the Uni 7s was to be played across four rounds in September and October, but now due to the coronavirus pandemic that planned format for the tournament has been cancelled.
It leaves the Bathurst trio waiting to see just when the tournament will be slotted into the Australian rugby calendar.
A review process of the women's schedule, one Hamilton is involved with, will explore options such as playing the games early next year at regional bases rather than university facilities.
"We were originally going to have the same as last year,10 teams, four tournaments, four rounds of Aon of 2020 across September and October, that plan has been cancelled," Rugby Australia head of women's rugby Jilly Collins told rugby.com.au
"At the back end of this year we're hoping to have a variation of it, something in some different format on a regional basis, but we've got a number of options to explore."
Last season the highlight for Sydney Uni came when they won the third round of the competition, with Whitfeld, Woolmington and Hamilton all part of the squad for that weekend.
Whitfeld scored 10 tries across seven games that round, while Woolmington crossed three times.
