El Guapo Cantina is set to re-open its restaurant facilities in a limited capacity this Friday and Saturday night to provide an opportunity for diners to catch up over a concise Mexican meal.

The Keppel Street restaurant will run two sittings each night: between 5.30pm and 6pm until 7.30pm and between 7.30pm and 8pm until 10pm.
"We'll be hosting the sittings in our front dining area, making use of extra tables as a social distancing guide," El Guapo co-owner Laura Jacob said.
"It's essential for people to book ahead so we can properly manage social distancing requirements."
El Guapo has stayed open during the COVID-19 period through a creative approach to takeaway, and Ms Jacob hopes the limited openings will encourage people to socialise again.
"I think people are ready to slowly bring the social element back to restaurants, and Bathurst has done well to flatten the curve," she said.
