A mayoral minute is to be presented to Wednesday night's council meeting, acknowledging the impacts COVID-19 has had on the council and the community and detailing further measures.
Mayor Bobby Bourke said the council staff and councillors have worked very hard to devise additional measures to take some of the pressure off those doing it tough.
"I'm looking forward to this mayoral minute on Wednesday night. I'm very appreciative of the input the staff and the councillors have put into this; it's their minute, but it's under the headline of a mayoral minute," he said.
"It's something that the whole council has been working together on."
The details of the new mayoral minute are expected to be made public ahead of the meeting, which starts at 6pm and can be watched live on YouTube.
Measures included will follow on from the first mayoral minute put forward in April.
Those initial stimulus measures included a series of fee waivers for businesses that had been hit hardest by the state and federal government COVID-19 restrictions.
There was also support for a number of local sporting groups, with council agreeing to waive maintenance fees that totalled close to $54,000.
Actions to help the building and construction industry were also part of the first mayoral minute.
These included, but weren't limited to, a 50 per cent reduction to development application fees, development application modification fees and subdivision fees.
Cr Bourke said the first mayoral minute seemed to "go over well" with the community and he is hopeful the second one will also be embraced.
He also reminded people that council is also a business and is limited in what it can do during this time, but it is doing everything it can now to help the community.
"Council is a business, we do have staff, we do have costs, and it is the ratepayers money, but I assure you as the mayor that what council staff are putting in place is the best that we can do at this stage," he said.
