On Wednesday, NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced restrictions to regional travel for recreational purposes will be lifted from June 1.
Panorama Cruise and Travel director Caroline Sage said the news is a great start and will allow potential holiday goers to commence booking holidays within the state.
"From what I'm hearing, a lot of people are busting to get out of Bathurst, and the moment they can escape, they will," Ms Sage said.
"As long as we practice good hygiene and social distancing measures, we'll be able to move forward towards interstate and, eventually, international travel."
In the hope that restrictions continue to ease, Ms Sage said the business will be leaning customers towards interstate and South Pacific travel options.
"We've already started booking interstate trips for later in the year, and we still have a lot of South Pacific trips locked in," she said.
"If this proposed South Pacific bubble comes into effect, it will only diversify travel options."
Ms Sage said it's an appropriate time to scale back restrictions regarding travel as long as people exercise caution.
"The only new COVID-19 cases appear to be coming from overseas travellers who are being placed into quarantine," she said.
"Community transmission cases have dropped off so as long as we're careful, it should be safe to travel regionally."
Ms Sage said the business has participated in training to strengthen their travel packages during the COVID-19 period.
