IT was going to be the biggest season yet for Panorama Football Club before the coronavirus came knocking and put those plans on hold, but it's going to take more than that for the Goats to take a step back.

The club has continued to grow their footprint in Bathurst District Football and if not for the virus they would have 10 teams currently on the field vying for senior titles.
Panorama were also ready to take the leap into the new Western Premier League competition while still fielding seven men's and three women's teams across the BDF's senior competitions in 2020.
The BDF committee have put the call out to teams to confirm their player numbers during the COVID-19 delay and Panorama president Beau Yates said, at this stage, those 11 teams all look like staying intact for the season's start.
"We're looking like we'll have the same numbers. We don't yet know exactly how many we'll have but nothing's changed for us that far. Everyone still seems very keen," he said.
"The club's grown rapidly over the last couple of years. It was shaping up, I believe, to be one of the best years for football in the town and the region.
"It's a bit unfortunate what's happened but hopefully we'll be back up and running in July."
Panorama's first grade teams will be keen to make their presence felt in the competition again after the men's and women's sides came up short of success.
The men will face the challenge of losing their top players to the Western Premier League but at this stage the Goats will still be able to field a pair of squads in the top BDF grade.
Meanwhile the women's team are on a mission to get back to the top after going down to rivals CSU in a grand final shoot out.
Yates said those top sides have benefited greatly from juniors coming through the ranks.
"We're getting back into training slowly and see how we go from there. If we get a season in then that's great but if not then it is what it is," he said.
"We've got WPL, two men's first grade, two second grade, two third grade and a fourth grade team. There's three ladies sides, five little junior teams and an under 17s.
"Those junior teams have been great. We've had a couple of parents wanting to get their kids into the game and it's been good to see the numbers growing there.
"Our 16s and 17s base are coming through into first grade and some of them have now pushed on to the WPL, which is great. That has become a big age group for us, and it's a solid junior foundation."
