A CAR has been totally destroyed by fire during an early morning blaze in Hector Park.

Emergency services received a triple-0 call at 5am on Tuesday with reports that a car was on fire in the middle of the park located off Rocket Street.
Fire and Rescue NSW Bathurst acting Station Officer Shane Brinkworth said a Volkswagen sedan was "fully involved" in fire when crews arrived on scene.
"It was totally destroyed," he said.
Police were also called to the scene and at this stage the cause of the blaze is undetermined.
It is unclear if the vehicle had been stolen prior to the fire.
