Raymond Smith's bitch avoided the bumps and bruises over the opening half of the race to shoot into the lead and run away with the Ladbrokes Odds Boost Multi (520 metres) at Kennerson Park.
Midnight Flash ($4.60) picked up her second career win with Monday's comeback effort and ran the distance under 30 seconds (29.96) for the first time.
"She missed the kick which was a blessing in disguise. She missed all of the trouble," Smith said.
"She's not a good beginner and has been looking for a bit of luck and she was able to find it tonight."
Midnight Flash had to play the catch up game in the early stages when Slippery Grant, Start The Clock and Bonnie Blonde all got away stronger to her inside.
On the opening turn Slippery Grant and Start The Clock made a slight bump but even that small contact was enough to open a gap on the rail.
It was a space Midnight Flash quickly seized.
As the field came onto the back stretch Midnight Flash had opened up a one length lead on Slippery Grant and she didn't stop there.
On the turn for home that lead had grown to two lengths and Midnight Flash was forcing the rest of the field to battle for the minors.
Midnight Flash won by three lengths over Slippery Grant ($15, David Grant) with another three lengths back to Start The Clock ($2.40 favourite, Ricky Brewer).
