A man will face court charged following an alleged robbery in Bathurst on Wednesday afternoon, where police allege a $500 ring was taken from a store.

About 2.45pm on Wednesday June 18, a man entered a business on George Street, Bathurst, and spoke to the shop attendant - a 41-year-old woman.
The man became argumentative and allegedly reached into an unlocked jewellery cabinet and removed a box containing a ring, worth about $500.
The attendant attempted to stop the man and allegedly pushed her to chest causing her to fall to the ground.
The man fled, pursued by the attendant, dropping the jewellery box.
Officers attached to Chifley Police District attended and commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, officers arrested a 34-year-old man at an apartment in Morisset Street, Bathurst about 3.35pm Thursday.
He was taken to Bathurst Police Station and charged with robbery.
The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Bathurst Local Court on Monday, June 29.
