When you hired a whole lot of casuals, replacing permanent staff - you said it was to save money.
When you put a whole lot of subjects online - you said it was to save money.
When you had stressed out academics teaching 300-plus students per online subject, while doing all their own admin - you said it was to save money.
When you merged faculties in a major restructure, cutting many jobs - you said it was to save money.
When you suddenly deleted positions, forcing colleagues to compete against each other for fewer roles at lower level - you said it was to save money.
When you made long-serving staff redundant, who were essential to the fabric of the place and reputation - you said it was to save money.
And when you spent $64 million on an unnecessary rebranding exercise (three new logos in 10 years!) as part of a $104 million campaign - you said it was to get money.
Well, CSU leaders - where's the money?
While consecutive Commonwealth governments are to blame for devaluing higher education and forcing universities to play a rigged game, those in senior management must be held accountable.
They're the ones who thrive in such a system, wrecking as they tear through, using places like CSU as a lucrative springboard to their next promotion.
What will be left of CSU Bathurst with its guts torn out? A sad and shameful day for our community.
