Two men have been arrested by police after a police chase which ended in a crash on Marsden Lane.

Chifley Police District duty officer David Abercrombie said the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon.
A vehicle known to police was seen driving along Hereford Street and when officers attempted to stop the car it allegedly accelerated away.

Officers initiated a pursuit and, about a minute later at the intersection of Marsden Lane and Limekilns Road at Kelso, police say the driver of the car failed to negotiate a bend before hitting the embankment at the side of the intersection.
Inspector Abercrombie said at the time of the crash there were two people in the vehicle but neither was seriously injured.

"The front seat passenger suffered minor discomfort from the seatbelt but apart from that no one was injured," he said.
In all, the police pursuit lasted about one minute.
Inspector Abercrombie said both men were assisting police with their inquiries, with investigations into the matter continuing.
