The Adult Survivors of Child Abuse - Cowra Support Group, which welcomes all survivors from any community, meets on the first Friday of each month at 12.30pm. The group will meet this coming Friday and attendees will be required to provide their full name and contact details to the facilitator. The facilitator will only provide these details to the appropriate authority in case traceability from a COVID-19 case is required. BATHURST Merino Association will hold its popular Ram Expo on Saturday, August 15, where producers will be able to network, buy or sell a handy sheep dog, and have a good look at some stud bred sheep. The BMA working dog auction forms are on the website www.colonsaystud.com.
The Charles Sturt University finals for the annual Three-Minute Thesis (3MT) competition for PhD students will be held online for the first time on Wednesday, July 1. Six of the University's PhD students have signed up for the challenge of presenting their 80,000-word thesis to members of the public in just three minutes, in a bid to win a $1000 travel and research grant and represent Charles Sturt at the Asia-Pacific 3MT Final. Members of the public can watch the competition via Zoom.

Tickets are on sale for the drive-in theatre on Mount Panorama during the Bathurst Winter Festival. A double feature of The Notebook and 1980s classic Dirty Dancing will mark the return of the Bathurst Drive-In this Saturday, July 4, followed by two weeks of nightly sessions. Tickets will be sold as single car admissions, with each car allowed as many passengers as is legally permissible. Bathurst Library has made changes to its services to ensure safety now it has reopened. To ensure social distancing, there are fewer seats and no groups are allowed. Items can be borrowed from the library, but must be returned via the chute outside. All items will be quarantined before they can be borrowed again. Time on the computers will be limited to 30 minutes and sessions must be booked in advance, according to the library.
